BASIC EDUCATION OF TEACHERS TRAINING IN BRAZIL: CHALLENGES AND POSSIBILITIES OF TEACHING STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The Brazilian Educational Laws and Guidelines (LDB) and the Federal Constitution of Brazil ensure the right for education to everyone and ensure the social inclusion of minorities groups. This paper focuses on the relation between the teacher education and teaching blind students in math and present initial studies of a research in the State of Goiás, Brazil. The research was motivated by the necessity of the confrontation of the reality by a group of teachers and researches. The documents that guide the Brazilian education, doctoral thesis, master’s thesis, papers available in electronic formats with full access, scientific reports periodic of Education and Mathematical Education and Pedagogical Project Courses – PPC's – were analysed. It is expected from this research to provide paths to teaching blind students in math collaborating with teacher formation. Moreover, it is presented how the reality of teacher’s abilities looks like while process of work with students with disabilities.
