The authors draw attention to the need for a systematic approach to the solution of this problem and attempt to identify topical areas of improving programs of professional development of pedagogical workers taking into account modern trends of development of education of children with disabilities in the Russian Federation and requirements of the professional standard &amp;quot;Teacher (teaching activities in the field of preschool, primary General, basic General, secondary General education) (educator, teacher)&amp;quot;. It is shown that in the modern psychological-pedagogical literature the problem of training teachers to work with children with disabilities is revealed as a multifaceted, evolving in time and therefore require constant attention of theorists and practitioners. The aspects of teachers&amp;rsquo; professional development are predominantly addressed in the context of continuous advanced education, which can be effective in observance of several conditions: first, the support of education of children with disabilities at the regional and municipal levels, supported by regulatory framework and relevant management decisions; secondly, focused training for functioning in the system of interdepartmental interaction of healthcare institutions, social protection and education at city and district levels, involving distribution of labour actions of professionals working with children with disabilities; third, the provision of a personalized continuous professional development of teachers of educational institutions, oriented on formation of theoretical and practical readiness to work with a particular category of children with disabilities.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article presents analysis of problems of preparation of teachers to work with children with disabilities in modern conditions of education development in Russia.
