The basis of professional training of future specialists in the sphere customs is the competence approach. The goals and objectives of improving the professional training of specialists in the sphere customs on the basis of a competence approach require the development and application of innovative educational technologies. In modern Federal state educational standards of higher professional education, the leading place is given to the use of active teaching methods. One of the basic simulation methods of active teaching is a business game that involves modeling the management of socio-economic systems and people&amp;#39;s professional activities in conditional situations with the aim of studying and solving problems that have arisen. Business games in the professional training of future customs professionals are aimed at imitating the processes of solving the problematic tasks faced by officers in the customs authorities of the Russian Federation.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article reveals the role of active teaching methods in the professional training of specialists in the sphere customs.
