Purpose: determination of modern opportunities for the implementation of environmental and educational activities in the Garden of Yermak Park in the city of Tobolsk, Tyumen region on the basis of a historical analysis of its creation and functioning. Methodology and methods: the historical analysis of the creation and functioning of the Garden of Yermak included a review of archival periodicals of the Tobolsk province. The current state of the park and the strategy for its development were studied based on the materials of the master plan of the urban district of the city of Tobolsk. Opportunities for environmental education activities in the Garden of Yermak were studied in the course of the implementation of the EKOTrek environmental education project. Results: The experience of the implementation of the city project &amp;ldquo;ECOtrek&amp;rdquo; on the territory of the Garden of Yermak, aimed at residents and guests of the city, as well as students of secondary schools is presented. Within the framework of this project, the history of the creation of the Garden was considered; the species diversity of trees and shrubs growing in the Garden of Yermak was determined; there were created ecological passports of trees based on QR codes; information tables were prepared and installed. The ecological educational route of the tour around the territory of the Garden of Yermak with the allocation of certain stations was described and one of the route options was created, oriented to all visitors of the city park. Conclusions: Contemporary opportunities for the implementation of environmental and educational activities in the Garden of Yermak Park in the city of Tobolsk, Tyumen region, include the creation of excursion routes; development of digital ecological passports of shrubs and trees; development of an ecological educational project &amp;ldquo;ECOTrek&amp;rdquo;.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The pertinence of the study stems from the need to form environmental awareness and environmental responsibility of residents of Russian cities in order to achieve 17 goals in the field of sustainable development; maintaining contact of citizens with nature, their rest and health improvement; implementation of the provisions of the concept of continuing education.
