The study of coping behavior of a mother with a young child is conditioned by the need to study the behavior of parents in various life situations as an element of the educational potential of the family. According to scientific research in early childhood, the role of the mother is the most significant for the formation of a child&amp;#39;s personality. Imitating her behavior, children most often perceive stressful situations and react to them by analogy with their parents. Based on this, the aim of the study was to study the conscious behavior of women with young children. The main tasks are to compare the coping behavior of mothers with a 2-year-old child in families with one, two and three children of different ages; to evaluate the coping strategies of women with healthy children (health group I) and children with health abnormalities (groups II and below) in the assessment of pediatricians and parents; to evaluate the use of coping- strategies by mothers of healthy children and those with abnormalities in neuropsychic development, children with different multiplicity of diseases, registered at the dispensary, having different levels of neuropsychic development. Materials and methods: the information base was the selective results of the long-term prospective monitoring &amp;ldquo;Study of the conditions for the formation of a healthy generation&amp;rdquo; in the Vologda region in 2022. The sample consisted of 177 pairs of &amp;ldquo;mother and child of 2 years&amp;rdquo;. Subject: coping strategies of mothers raising young children in various life situations. Object: mothers raising 2-year-old children. Results: empirical research data on coping behavior of parents in difficult life situations can be an information base for the development of targeted recommendations for improving the educational potential of parents with young children from families of various categories, minimizing the risks of health disorders, neuropsychic development, maladaptive behavior of children in early and older ages.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Introduction.
