There is an opinion in our society that if a person attaches great importance to money, he/she experiences difficulties in building close relationships. The reason is the opposition of material values to spiritual values, which implies the idea of their incompatibility. However, there is a lack of research that would set itself the task of proving this statement. The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the relationship between money attitudes and interpersonal interaction in young men and young women. Materials and methods. The study was conducted on the basis of Penza State University. The sample size was 70 people aged 18 to 25 years, including 36 girls and 34 boys. The questionnaire of money attitudes by B. and T. Klontz (adaptation by D.A. Bayazitova, T.A. Lapshova) was used in order to study moneу attitudes. The questionnaire of interpersonal relations (QIR) by V. Schutz (adaptation by A.A. Rukavishnikov) was used to study interpersonal interactions. The U-Mann-Whitney criterion and the Pearson correlation criterion were used as methods of statistical data processing. The results of the study. It was revealed that there was a difference in money attitude &amp;ldquo;money vigilance&amp;rdquo; among young men and young women. This attitude was more pronounced in young women than in young men. The reliable relationships between money attitudes and interpersonal interaction were obtained in young men. The positive correlations were revealed between the money attitude &amp;ldquo;money avoidance&amp;rdquo; and the need for control from others; the money attitude &amp;ldquo;money worship&amp;rdquo; and the required behavior in the area of inclusion and pronounced behavior in the area of &amp;ldquo;control&amp;rdquo;. The negative correlations were obtained between the money attitude &amp;ldquo;money vigilance&amp;rdquo; and the required behavior in the inclusion area, expressed behavior in the &amp;ldquo;affect&amp;rdquo; area, the required behavior in the &amp;ldquo;affect&amp;rdquo; area. Conclusion. The study revealed differences in money attitudes among young men and young women. The reliable correlations between money attitudes and interpersonal interaction in young men were obtained. The data obtained can be used for psychotherapeutic purposes to explain the causes of difficulties in interpersonal interaction.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Introduction.
