The author determins the relevance of the research topic as the need to educate students in the spirit of patriotism, civic consciousness, legal culture, and the culture of interethnic communication. The article reveals the essence of the pro-cess of patriotic education of students as a process of developing patriotic consciousness and behavior of the individual, the realization of its creative potential for the benefit of the Fatherland and people; the development and implementation of all essential powers of the person in the indicated direction, formation of a socio-ecological culture. The author also determins the goals and objectives at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.
