COGNITIVE MECHANISMS OF COMMUNICATIVE BEHAVIOR IN THE INTERNET SPACE
The article analyzes the role of cognitive mechanisms in the communicative behavior of an individual. The author provides theoretical information on statistical data on the role of the Internet in everyday life and reveals features of the Network. Features of realization of communicative behavior in the Internet space are analyzed. The article notes, that the Internet is one of the largest spaces offering a variety of thematic information to the Internet user. Communicative behavior is a collection and implementation of certain norms of an individual or a group of individuals in the course of interaction, and also includes the perception of news content. According to the author, the process of perception of information in the Internet space has not been studied sufficiently, especially its cognitive component. The aim of the article is to study the peculiarities of cognitive mechanisms of communicative behavior of a person in the Internet space. The article notes the insufficiency of existing methods for studying the cognitive components of the communicative process. The author suggests a research questionnaire "Cognitive biases in the course of Internet communication" to identify cognitive distortions by A. Beck's model during the perception of information, online communication. In the course of the empirical study, the author substantiates the validity, reliability, and consistency of the research method with the help of statistical analysis. According to the results of the study, scales (A. Beck's model) with their statistically significant values are also determined: dichotomous reasoning, catastrophization, disqualifying the positive, emotional reasoning, labeling, filtering, reading of thoughts, personalization, pursuing, and overgeneralization.
