Forms and factors of suicidal behavior of adolescents

Introduction. The study of the main forms and factors influencing the occurrence of suicidal behavior among adolescents is one of the main medical, socio-psychological problems of modern society, which is gaining popularity every day. The interrelation of psychological features, character accentuations, forms and factors of suicidal behavior in adolescents has not been practically studied. The number of adolescents with suicidal risks and suicidal behavior is constantly growing. The aim of the study is to study the factors and forms of suicidal behavior of adolescents. Methodology and methods: the article uses theoretical methods: analysis, description, system method, method of generalization of scientific provisions of psychological and pedagogical literature. Results and conclusions. It was revealed that the forms of suicidal behavior depend on the level of committing this behavior by an adolescent in relation to himself/herself. The main factors and mechanisms of adolescent behavior that can push to destructive behavior are analyzed: difficulties of self-realization in acceptance by the reference group, lack of necessary support and, as a consequence, the emergence of neuroses that contribute to suicidal behavior. Depending on the intention of committing suicidal behavior, the personal emotional and psychological states of adolescents are studied and revealed, and this is explained by the fact that at the moment of making a decision to commit a suicidal action, the personal components of the “I – image” are at risk of destruction and adolescents feel a sense of inferiority to the foundations of the social world. The impact of negative attitudes that have formed as a result of the negative communicative experience of adolescents, which has a destructive effect on their personality and often leads to suicidal behavior, is analyzed.
