THE CONTENT OF THE SERBIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS IN ELEMENTARY GRADES OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Considering that the program structure of the Serbian language programme in elementary grades of the primary school is conditioned by the need for a harmonious and all-round development of the personality, the topic of this work is very important. The study of the content of the Serbian language lessons, with emphasis on grammar and spelling, in primary and basic education is one of the most difficult tasks for researchers. In primary school, students should obtain a system of basic basic knowledge that is accessible to their understanding about the basics of the language that will enable them to express their thoughts competently through speech and writing in accordance with the literary norm, and also to recognize and prevent speech errors. This article analyses the content of the carriculum and the Serbian language lesson plans which covers the areas of grammar, spelling and pronunciation. To implement the basic requirements of the Serbian language teaching program, the teachers determine the amount and level of the students' academic load so that their lessons will help the students prepare for a coherent presentation of thoughts in spoken and written language in accordance with the norms of the Serbian language. The content and structure of the curriculum in the Serbian language of Serbian secondary schools presented in the work are step-by-step and analyzed by years of study, for each class the requirements that are presented to the students, as well as the results and achievements expected of them are presented.
