HEALTH-ORIENTED EDUCATION IN MODERN SCHOOL: CHALLENGES, THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL RATIONALE
The author presents the author's concept of health-oriented education and substantiates the relevance of its organization in the modern school. The article reveals the theoretical rationale underlying the development of the concept; determines the purpose and objectives of health-oriented education as one of the functions of complete pedagogical process; demonstrates the ways of organizing education aimed at preserving and improving the health of students and teachers as subjects of the pedagogical process; expresses the author's ideas about the possibility of inclusion of a health lesson as a lesson of self-understanding into the educational process of modern schools.
